The benefits of a professionally mastered track drastically outweigh the cost. However, many artists simply do not have the budget to afford expensive mastering services. MasterVolume is able to offer our high quality mastering service at a price that cannot be beaten. Your music can now be mastered with the same expertise and equipment in an acoustically treated studio at a fraction of the cost. No automated processes with instantaneous result, just human ears and experience.
How do I get started?
Begin by choosing the number of songs you would like mastered. You'll be prompted to fill out a form with your name, email, blah, blah, blah... Include any other information in the 'Additional Notes?' section. We will send you an email with information on how to send us your track(s). From there, we will begin work listening and dialing in EQ, compressors, limiters, and various other effects to make your sound loud, warm, clean, and clear. Once we are content with the result, your mastered song or songs will be sent back to you. Easy.
How do I prepare my song for mastering?
It is absolutely crucial that songs are prepared for mastering before you send them to us. Follow these steps to ensure we are able to properly master your track.
- Remove all processing and effects from the master bus. Any effects added on the master channel before we touch your track limit what we are able to accomplish in the mastering phase.
- The peak level should be around -6db. Leaving headroom is crucial in order to allow room for us to work.
- Bounce your tracks as WAV or AIFF files, 44.1 kHz, 24 bit (or 16 bit). We cannot work with any lossy formats such as MP3s.
